The photosite is gone since facebook came on the scene. No need to update it since everything that would have went there would be posted to FB Speaking of facebook, click through rates are horrible on their ad platform, but you still can’t beat the amazing targeting abilities they give. ‘ with all of those memories from the Park Victoria 1616 parties. Ahhh the good old days!

I’ve also been working on other web design and programming projects both as a hobby, and to get better at web development in general. Specifically, I’m interested in the use of Classic ASP and VBScript in an Object Oriented programming environment.

One of those sites is a resource site for billiards. On the surface, it is a full featured cue sport discussion forum, a 600 1100 term billiard glossary, and a valuable resource of over 200 3000 billiard articles. The fun part for me was the design of the back end. I had been looking for a good .asp vbscript CMS for a site like this that was also designed for optimized, natural, and automated on-page SEO. I didn’t find anything that met my needs so I designed a custom CMS back end so that I could efficiently publish large amounts of content. This back end is far from optimized, but it’s pretty close. I will probably clean up the source code and automate a few more procedures but do so with a new site.

So my latest project (2009-2010) is to fully rewrite that system (still using asp and vbscript) using object oriented principles, yes, with asp and vbscript. I’ve been building classic asp classes (which i’ll post before the end of the year) and rewriting the database.
