The Havana Club Bar Varadero Cuba

The “Havana Club” bar, or “club nocturno” as is seen on their sign, is one of the hottest nightclubs in Varadero Cuba. The “Havana Club” is a nightclub in the heart of Varadero Cuba that is off of the resorts, but within walking distance from most of the major ones. It is a Local bar full of young people, and is bumping every night of the week. I recommend going to the Havana Club local bar as many nights as you can while on vacation in Varadero Cuba. It is by far the biggest party club in Varadero Cuba. So, if you’re looking for a serious party, Havana Club Varadero is definitely the place to be. When vacationing in Varadero Cuba, you should definitely consider adding this attraction to your roster! It is no more than $5 USD from a majority of all of the big resorts on the strip.

The Havana Club has a $10 USD cover charge to get in, but once you are in, you don’t pay for anything including all of your drinks! A couple of typical refrigerator-shaped bouncers give you a bracelet at the door, and you just go up to the bar and order whatever you want – no charge. Make sure to bring some dollars to tip the toilet attendant! But ladies – bring your own toilet paper or you’ll have to drip dry! When you head out to the Havana Club, dress as you would for any nightclub at home. Cubans tend to dress up when they go out, although you see some tourists in jeans and T-shirts. You want to look nice when you go out in Cuba, but it will get hot so dress so that you are cool. You may hear in reviews that this is a “strictly tourists” disco. This is wrong, as my girlfriend and I went there with a Cuban guy we were hanging out with all day. I know this from experience. This club is a true Cuban attraction.
You will find this located on a main street called “Av. de Las Amricas y Calle K – Reparto La Torre” in Varadero behind the Palma Real hotel. The Havana Club is a small disco playing modern music. You’ll hear American Hip-Hop, the usual North-America clubbin’ music. The music was a good variety, and they play a good mix. You’ll definitely recognize most of the music there, which is what makes this place so fun. Ladies, there are also loads of single Cuban males hitting on the single female holiday-makers here, but don’t let it put you off. Sorry guys, for some reason, you just don’t see many Cuban females out in the clubs. I am not sure exactly why this is.
If you are staying on the strip in Varadero, it’s fairly easy to get to the Havana Club. You’ll probably be on an all-inclusive resort in Varadero, so you will be really close to the Havana Club.Just say “Havana Club” to the Taxi drivers and they’ll get you there. You can also walk, if you don’t mind walking for about 20 minutes. If you decide to do this, I recommend getting a good snap on first, and taking a “road rocket” to tide you over. It will make the walk a whole lot more fun. Another way to get there, if you have a designated driver, is that you can rent a moped. We had rented one for the whole day, so we decided to take a spin in to the club for a bit. That was very fun. It’s safe to park it outside, since there is very little crime.
The Havana Club Varadero is frequented by locals seeking to mix and mingle, but given its proximity to the beautiful Varadero beach, it is also popular with tourists staying at the barrage of all inclusive hotels. Be prepared for anything here, as you never know what’s going to wash in the door. The bar serves up some delicious mixed drinks, and its no surprise that Havana Club Rum, made locally in Cuba, is the liquor of choice. Some travelers will say; the fun team will try to convince you to go to this bar as the rule is that if they take six guests, they are able to get in for free. They really enjoy the club because they mingle with the tourists, drink free, and hear non-Cuban hip hop etc. (But our Cuban buddy got in free with just the two of us.)

Hello, I went to the Havana Club several times in my holidays from 22 to 29 March 2012. I met a Cuban with whom I spent many evenings that I wish I could review and match. I do not know his first name I only have a picture of him with me. I think this is a person well known to the Club. I do not speak much English so I had trouble with him asked if he was interested. Would it be possible if I send you the photo of him back and ask him to write me.
Hoping a positive response from you.
