Pirates Cave Night Club Varadero

It’s not far from the Coralia Club Resort in Varadero.
Pirates Cave Club – a real cave made into a night club. Did a show that has to be seen to be believed. Seriously, must go back and take pictures.
La Cueva Del Pirata: Pirate cave cabaret Written by Delusio on March 21, 2004. (you can view pictures of the pirates cave bar)
This place is located in a cave, entrance is $10, open bar included. The show starts at 10 p.m. after that it becomes a disco, open until 3 a.m. Dancers & singers, it’s probably not the Tropicana, but worth visiting.
No dress code, this is not a posh place.
Nightclub Directions: Near Melia Varadero Hotel, you’ll need a cab, probably.
Theme: This is a cave which has been redesigned to a club… well, there first is a cabaret show and the waiters are dressed in Pirate’s costumes and afterwards there’s a DJ playing and you can dance on stage.
We went to Cueva De Pirata on the Thursday night. I was told this is a fairly new club but it is open to locals. Same deal with the entrance, $10 US and all you could drink. This club was a lot smaller than La Rumba. It was very different though. Translated “Cueva de Pirata” means “Pirate Cave” and the place looked like it. The music was really good. Lots of Hip Hop and R&B mixed in with house, techno, salsa, merengue, etc. Not very packed that night we went though but a good looking crowd nonetheless. Cost of the cab was only $2 US. We went with some locals who worked at the hotel and the recommended that we avoid eye contact with the locals.

Went to Meditareno 2x’s which was an absolute blast (live Cuban dance show and live music), our friend Karel showed us some moves on the dance floor there….We also went to the Pirates Cave which was also very entertaining (live show and mixed music) we tried to get into La Rhumba but the lineup was too long (if you go don’t go on the weekend cause all the people who live in Havanna drive 2hrs to party there) I heard International was good & busy…but they don’t play just Cuban music, they play a lot of our music….The Disco on the resort is very dead, me and my friend tried 2x’s and the first night there were 7 people and the 2nd time there was nobody.
